Art has been a part of Melody's life since she was a girl.  She became involved in art and business organization sin high school.  Shortly after graduating, Melody started selling original painted pieces and artwork to boutiques. Melody started Chatterbox from her home in 1997, which grew to a multi-million dollar company within a year.  Melody  is an extremely talented design, artist, and photography.  Her designs are well-known around the world as timeless and beautiful.  Melody is also the author of various idea and technique books. Melody and Chatterbox have been featured in many magazines and books including, Better Homes and Gardens, Woman's World Entrepreneur, Woman's Day, Martha Stewart Living, and Prentice Hall textile Design Book.

	I was born in 1971 in Nampa, Idaho…the 6th of 9 children I am a 4th generation Idahoan and graduated from the same high school that my grandparents & my mother graduated from; with a whopping 28 people in my graduating class. I started my business, Chatterbox, in 1997 when I was 25, from my kitchen table...and topped a million in sales in just over a year...it is now an international multi-million dollar phenomenon.  I have been an artist since I was old enough to hold a pencil and have giddily watched my childhood artist dreams come true. I am married to and still madly in love with my high-school sweetheart...our 5 children fill our 100 year old farm house with love & laughter. I am the author of 8 books...and counting. I own 97 pairs of shoes that I love but I still prefer my bare feet. My childhood nicknames were “Motor-Mouth” and “Chatterbox” but Chatterbox made a much better business name…and, it seems I still have a lot to say. I was one of 3 finalists for the 2005 Business Woman of the Year from the National Association of Women Business Owners. I have been a guest on QVC, HSN, DIY and the Carol Duvall Show. I have a weakness for a good crème brulee. I have learned the power of love while caring for my husband through brain injury recovery....he gets better and better every day. I have been featured in many magazines and newspapers including: Entrepreneur, Martha Stewart, Women’s Day and BH&G. I love New York City almost as much as Boise, Idaho. I have an MBA and a PHD, with honors, from the School of Hard Knocks. I return from time to time for continuing education.
